Job Description

Spinrite is the largest craft yarn and sewing thread company in North America. As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Distribution Receiving Supervisor to join our growing Distribution team.

Reporting to the Distribution Manager this individual is a critical role in ensuring operational responsibilities are carried out in an effective and efficient manner. This role is critical in ensuring that the department's team members are clearly informed of their roles, responsibilities, and performance targets. The Distribution Supervisor will work cross-functionally with all DC departments to ensure the company's goals are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign associates tasks to complete warehouse functions such as: receiving, replenishment, order-filling, shipping, quality audits.
  • Plan work assignments and equipment allocation to meet production goals
  • Schedule associates as necessary to complete work objectives.
  • Coach, train and develop department leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned team members.
  • Partner with supervisors from other departments to leverage resources effectively
  • Maintain the facility budget in close partnership with DC Ops Manger and DC Manager
  • Ensure employees have the tools they need to perform tasks.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring the health and safety of others within one's own team or functional area. Responds to crisis situations where the health and safety of others may be at risk.
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
  • Ability to solve basic mathematical problems.
  • Experience leading a group of employees a plus.
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma
