Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Sustainment Integrator- Project Manager 1/2 for our location in Huntsville, AL.
Position Summary:
- Develops tools and processes to provide detailed analysis of Sustainment/Logistics performance from operational data. Applies knowledge of logistics practices and has ability to develop written process documentation and standards. Able to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical approaches and findings.
- Uses data-driven tools, metrics and processes for monitoring project progress for Sustainment/Logistics tracking, intervention and problem solving with the management team, site leadership, and customers.
- Conducts analysis and assesses project opportunities and issues; develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing sustainment projects and serves as a lead synchronizer and integrator between the Program management team, project team members, and site management.
- Reviews status of sustainment and logistics projects; spending and budgets, schedules management and prepares status reports.
- Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform multifaceted tasks. Understands and applies principles, concepts, practices, and standards to integrate sustainment (logistics, supply, requisitioning, inventory management, demand analysis) functions.
- Participates in the processes of contract proposals and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, budget forecasts, and financial conditions of contract for logistics requirements.
- Determines and nominates Program Sustainment and Logistics milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and recommends solutions, such as potential allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Participates as a key member for program/fleet analysis and assessment of Diminishing Manufacturers Sources Material Shortages (DMSMS)
- Support Continuous Improvement and Quality initiatives.
- Support the overall Management team by providing sustainment performance visibility and metrics tracking.
- Liaison and frequent contact with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts.
- Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning program Sustainment in support of program operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience with Bachelor's degree (preferably in a Supply Chain, Logistics or Operational Research domains) from an accredited institution; or 5+ years of demonstrated, relevant logistical/analytical experience in lieu of a degree
- Exceptional ability to manipulate multiple data elements and sources to generate actionable Logistics performance decisions
- Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint); specific advanced proficiency in excel, i.e. pivot tables, data visualization, forecasting, logic functions and lookups, data validation and cleansing.
- Strong formal and informal communication skills with all levels of internal and external management; a skilled listener.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in analysis supporting the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes for program performance: Such as Demand analysis and forecasting, what if analysis, make/buy analysis, cost/benefit, pricing analysis, inventory optimization, data interchange system and administration process analysis and other related functions.
- Experience in monitoring and controlling the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement to meet program and customer requirements.
- Experience in building relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives
- Prior work leading teams, fostering team building and teamwork.

Salary Range: $63,800 USD - $95,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
