Duties

  • Maintaining accurate records of patient blood samples, including patient information and test results, to ensure proper tracking and communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Preparing patients for the blood draw procedure by explaining the process, calming them down, and finding suitable veins for the blood collection.
  • Checking and verifying patient information, such as their name, date of birth, and medical history, to make sure that the correct patient is being tested.
  • Sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous materials, such as needles and contaminated supplies, in accordance with strict safety protocols.
  • Following strict safety procedures and protocols to prevent contamination and infection.
  • Collaborating and communicating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure accurate test results.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years old
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
  • Ability to undergo criminal and drug background checks
  • Willingness to undergo training
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects
  • Current proof of a TB test within the last 12 months
