Job Description

As a CRE Data Management and Solutions - VP in the Commercial Real Estate space, you will be responsible for communicating with various CRE Business teams to understand their data needs and assess for governance and controls.

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Data Owner Team, under the direction of the CRE Chief Data Officer (CDO), drives development and definition of the data (and metadata) needed to provide integrated reporting, analytics and data-driven execution across all CB business processes. Our work is a blend of strategy, technology, data architecture design and modelling with a key focus on unlocking data to increase adoption by delivering with quality and right controls in place. The candidate will collaborate across CRE Business teams and Data Architecture to define data needs. The candidate will also be involved in the data control aspect of CRE operating model and implementation of data solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Controls and Compliance to ensure that our processes align with Firmwide and CB policies and standards, as well as relevant regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate current user cases, conduct gap analysis and provide clarity and opportunities for business process and data control
  • Understanding of the importance of data, data risks and data controls
  • Exceptional attention to detail, create and maintain process documentation such as procedures, JIRAs, templates, calendars, reference guides to aid in the standardization and effectiveness of processes
  • Work in partnership with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, End users and Development teams to document use cases, functional specifications, source to target mappings that capture business data and reporting requirements
  • Excellent written and oral executive-level communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and demanding environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Experience working both independently and in a virtual, collaborative environment is essential

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
  • 3+ years Data Governance, Risk Management, or Data Controls experience in the financial sector
  • Proven ability to develop strong partnerships and collaborations
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and achieve results
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and planning skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple organizational levels and functional areas
  • Must have ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to quickly translate complex ideas into sensible stories/communications
  • Self-starter with ability to manage own workload and multiple deliverables simultaneously
