The Clinical Director of Health System Performance Improvement- Workforce Optimization will serve as the lead clinical expert collaborating with a consulting team that performs assessments, identifies opportunities, designs solutions and partners with the client to implement workforce staffing efficiency initiative action plans. This individual will work alongside client teams across the continuum of care to solve complex care delivery process challenges, improve productivity, and operationalize the client’s priority initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role must be passionate about driving workforce improvements in performance, effective at working in a fast-paced, high-energy matrixed environment and be confident in their interactions with senior leaders, providers, and business partners.
The role of the Health System Performance Improvement team is to support financial sustainability for hospitals and health systems by bringing innovative workforce solutions to build and retain a diverse workforce enabling the organization to effectively control and reduce rising operating costs while providing high quality, safe, reliable, and cost-effective patient care. Successful hospitals are committed to continuously improving clinical, operational, and financial efficiency across the continuum of care.
The Clinical Director, Health System Performance Improvement- Workforce Optimization will collaborate with work teams assigned to address opportunities to assist hospitals and health systems improve the engagement and workflows of their clinical and other allied health professional workforce. This includes areas such as premium labor expense, innovative care delivery models, process standardization, span of control, skill mix designed to maximize top of license practice and to leverage technology and tools as appropriate. All leaders on the workforce team are expected to be hands-on with project design, deliverable creation, and implementation support for clients.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
