Generates revenue by going through carrier accounts receivable reports and investigating claims to determine why a claim has not paid. Collaborate with the biller and the insurance to submit corrected claims as needed, or have a claim reprocessed if necessary. Must be tech savvy and willing to learn.
Starting pay is $13 with no experience, is negotiable based on level of experience.
Previous experience in Accounts Resolution for Pediatrics is highly preferred.
OFFICE HOURS: M-Th 8:30pm-5:00pm, Friday 8:30pm-12:30pm, work 36 hours, get paid for 40 as we have a 4 hour performance bonus each week. Temporarily until March 31st we are working the full 40 hours.
No remote positions are available, must be on campus.
We offer a CPB (Certified Professional Biller) Course (valued by AAPC at $7,100) on campus once a year taught by an AAPC Certified Instructor, FOR FREE. (Not required for AR department.) If you choose to take the national exam after the course, we will reimburse you for the cost of the test, and you will receive a raise. Classes meet once a week at 1pm on Wednesdays, last for around 2 hours depending on the curriculum that week, and the total class duration is around 6 months.
