Job Description
- Schedule and co-ordinate surgery procedures between patient, physician and hospitals
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining and releasing block time.
- Discuss with patient pre operative and post operative instructions
- Coordinate with implant sales representatives devices for surgeries
- Ensure patient has proper Durable Medical Equipment for surgery
- Obtain all authorizations for surgeries and procedures/injections
- Check patient insurance benefits on all procedures
- Ensures that the hospital has all the required paperwork related to surgery including the patient authorization, MD orders, H&P, patient insurance cards, demographic data, and all other related data
- Schedule MRI's/CT Scan
- Able to anticipate needs before they become critical.
