Team Introduction
The AML-MLSys team provides E2E machine learning experience and machine learning resources for the company. The team builds heterogeneous ML training and inference systems based on GPU and AI chips and advances the state-of-the-art of ML systems technology. The team is also responsible for research and development of hardware acceleration technologies for AI and cloud computing.
This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in August/September 2023. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following fall internship cycles below:
1. August 14, 2023 to November 3, 2023
2. September 5, 2023 to November 24, 2023
We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities
This internship provides students the opportunity to join one of our engineering teams where you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop key components of machine learning systems, including compiler, distributed frameworks, cluster scheduling, storage systems, etc.
- Optimize the implementation and deploy them in production systems.
- Currently pursuing a Undergraduate/Graduate/Master/PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during fall 2023
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Familiar with the C/C++ and Python development in Linux environments;
- Familiar with at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, or other);
- Self-motivated and can solve challenging technical problems with good teamwork
- Good communication and teamwork skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with other teammates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduating December 2023 onwards with intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
