Although we are currently in the North American market, we see great opportunity to expand our markets. To support this, we are currently looking for a Senior Actuary to work in our Facultative Actuarial Pricing department.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Price reinsurance and liaise with underwriting in support of our Facultative book of business.
  • Perform profitability studies for actuarially sound planning and portfolio management and present results to senior management.
  • Perform rate adequacy reviews of the rates used in our facultative pricing tools.
  • Perform rate monitoring studies.
  • Perform trend studies and line of business studies and present results to senior management.
  • Liaise with reinsurance treaty pricing for consistent pricing and best practices.
  • Liaise with reserving and review reserve analyses for portfolio management.
  • Work with management to produce presentations and reports to meet management, board, and strategy reporting needs
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • ACAS/FCAS preferred
  • Years of experience: 7+ in P&C actuarial pricing with 3+ within reinsurance pricing or commercial lines/large account pricing
  • Emphasis on casualty a plus.
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills
  • Able to work in dynamic and agile environment, especially through remote setting
  • Technical know-how including Excel, VBA, SQL, Python, etc. a plus.

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location.
