Senior Accounting Analyst
The main responsibility of the Senior Accounting Analyst will be to timely and accurate reconciliation of refined product volumes between Client Company and third parties. Complete Interactions with Commercial trading, scheduling, and other departments within the Client Company.
Job Title: Senior Accounting Analyst
Location: 2331 CityWest Blvd, Houston TX 77042
Duration: 2year contract
Schedule: Monday- Friday (40 hours per week)
**This position is in the office. After 90 days, the worker is eligible to work one day a week from home as approved by supervisor.
Pay Range: $45.00-$54.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate reconciliation of refined product volumes between Client Company and third parties.
- Interactions with Commercial trading, scheduling, and other departments within Client Company.
- Conduct good communication with internal team and departments.
- Work to manage the high value of communication with upper-level points of contacts, lower level points of contacts and lateral points of contacts.
- Works on varied and complex processes and problems associated with commercial product business.
- Heavily utilize Excel (i.e., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc.)
- Well organized and detail oriented, good time management skills
- The capacity to pursue issues and resolve them independently, build relationships with internal and external business partners and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Work to multitask but also prioritize and focus on what is most critical at that time.
Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 10+ years of relevant industry accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Understanding of Accounting Principles.
- The ability to apply knowledge in identifying and resolving issues with external business partners and internal accounting groups
- Strong analytical skills and an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- SAP S4 and Blackline knowledge a plus
