The Senior Accounting Analyst (Health) is a key member in supporting the growth of Best Buy’s Health business. This is a great opportunity for those seeking to solve unique accounting challenges in a complex Health industry, implement system-related efficiencies to improve productivity and provide deeper insights into financial performance, and provide solutions to challenges faced in the Health business. This role consists of regular month-end close processes and financial analysis, reconciliations, and various projects related to new business initiatives and automation. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with the Health business team, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and other teams within the organization to ensure the integrity of Best Buy’s financial statements.
This role is hybrid remote which means you must be located within a drivable distance to our Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, MN or San Diego, CA in case asked to come into the office, but would work primarily from home.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinate and support month-end close processes, including preparing and recording journal entries.
- Create, implement, and perform monthly review and analytical procedures that results in meaningful variance commentary.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and be able to identify and document reconciling items.
- Support complex accounting transactions, internal control processes, audit findings, and key accounting determinations.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure telecom regulatory compliance and operational excellence with customer billing practices.
- Identify and drive process improvements and provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- 1.5+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance capacity
- Intermediate proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Experience applying US GAAP to complex, and judgmental large company situations
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and facilitation)
- Experience with project management or influencing without authority
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, and work with business partners
- CPA
