Job Description

Threshold Brands is a private equity sponsored multi brand franchisor whose brands generate sales in excess of $250 million annually. All of our brands provide services for the homeowner. Today, we are 9 brands strong, supporting MaidPro, Men in Kilts, Patio Patrol, Pestmaster, USA Insulation, Plumbing Paramedics, Heating Paramedics, Granite Garage and Sir Grout. This is a 100% remote role.


We are currently in search of two Senior Accountants. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities through developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for the brands that you support.

  • One Senior Accountant must have the ability to work Eastern Standard Time Hours with flexibility given the broad geographic nature of the business.
  • One Senior Accountant must have the ability to work Pacific Standard Time Hours with flexibility given the broad geographic nature of the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Assist with audit activities by working with internal department managers and external auditors.
  • Play a key role in the month end close to ensure completion and accuracy of general ledger account analysis and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage select accounting processes and provide back up for other key accounting areas as directed by the Controller
  • Develop and utilize custom reports within the Company's ERP for analytical purposes.
  • Coordinate month end close processes for selected “brands” or “departments” at the direction of the Controller and be the first layer of review.
  • Pro-actively looking for process efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Ensure internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures are in compliance with GAAP.
  • Provide guidance and support to accounting associates and peers.
  • Work effectively in a high growth environment – comfortable in both individual contributor roles and cross-functional team roles.
  • Other responsibilities and projects will be assigned where appropriate.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience; franchising or private equity portfolio company experience preferred.
  • Excellent systems skills, advanced excel, experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
