Qualifications:
Security Operations Manager (SOM) The SOM will be responsible for managing and developing the security team. The SOM will lead the security team through daily operations and all incident escalations. The SOM partners and supports site-based security leadership to ensure all identified client security needs are addressed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accountable for managing site security operations team, ensuring all client security policies and procedures and other relevant documentation is adhered to.
- Lead vendor security team response for crisis management events across multiple accounts.
- Responsible for ensuring that all vendor security staff are trained and knowledgeable to client standards when on post.
- Provide clients with reports, briefings, and other requested information on a frequent or ad hoc basis.
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring that the security vendor team have the tools and equipment necessary to carry out their prescribed duties.
- Responsible for the scheduling of the officers and ability to handle the payroll on a weekly basis accurately.
- Collaborate with onsite client on all operational security needs as identified.
- Accountable to implement and ensure robust post and shift handover procedures.
- Comply with the site standardized guarding models, only deploying additional resources upon receipt of prior client approval.
- Ensure an effective communications plan is implemented and documented throughout all levels of the security team.
- Ensure that supervisory visits to assigned posts are occurring on a daily basis and documented accordingly.
- Accountable and responsible for ensuring that all security vendor staff maintain confidentiality management and privacy standards in accordance with client and relevant legislation.
- Manage and direct an effective leadership team on site.
- Routinely measures and assesses the proficiency and effectiveness of the communication center team.
- Immaculate presentation that adheres to the prescribed dress code.
Requirements, Special skills, and attributes include:
- Relevant physical security background experience, licensing, and certificates as applicable according to the local legislation.
- Significant scheduling experience.
- Working knowledge of Winteam and Tracktic Software
- Leadership qualities; people management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with proven ability to influence key business partners.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Think through problems for logical solutions and remain calm and professional under stress.
