Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate - Diabetes/Obesity Research - Mineola.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing the day-to-day laboratory activities as it relates to the research study. Duties may also include, but not limited to novel experimental design, execution, data analyses, manuscript preparation/ submission, and grant application preparation.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Science. 1 - 2 years of research experience required. Working knowledge of lab instruments (spectrometer, microscopes, centrifuges, autoclaves, etc. ) and supplies. Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, detail orientation, multitasking skills. Exhibits creativity, and initiative. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word. Proficiency in molecular biological and cellular biology techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Experience with various molecular, cellular, or biochemical techniques; scientific calculations, scientific graphing, and scientific data log.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $58,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
