OR Admitting Nurse - Connected Health Care

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced OR Admitting Nurse for an established hospital near Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate individual who is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain and review patient information from the admitting department and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure all patient information is accurately documented and entered into the hospital’s computer system.
- Provide preoperative teaching to patients and family members.
- Prepare and maintain patient charts and medical records.
- Monitor patient vital signs and review any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Assist in the recovery room and monitor patient post-operatively.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures.
- Experience in operating room nursing or critical care preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patient, family members, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
