Responsible for project management and data analysis processes on transformation efforts pertaining to a variety of areas in the business. Example project disciplines include Engineering, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Improvement. All project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
- Create and manage schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Interpret and transmit project requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups Coordinate project communications ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of status. Ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with team and other stakeholders (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
- Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities which will add value.
As a successful candidate, you’d bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
- 4 years project management experience or 2 years project management experience and 2 years experience in technical role in nuclear or construction industry.
- Familiar with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.
Required Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to lead team members, able to develop relationships with internal stakeholders, able to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned with minimal guidance from supervisory project managers and mentors.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge and skill of project scheduling and cost management.
- Demonstrated ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for visual reports; database concepts in order to manage data within systems; the interaction of company functions that are touch points to projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.).
- High-quality presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP not required but a plus.
- Will be expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse Systems, Procedures, and Policies applicable to assignments.
