Job Description

We are seeking a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our very busy Orthopedics practice. This is a well-established and highly respected, busy orthopedic practice providing specialized orthopedic care to patients. Under a physician’s supervision, the PA is responsible for a broad range of medical services, including but not limited to: providing patient assessment, education, follow-up visits, and medication management.

• Obtain patient medical history and conduct physical examinations for patients assigned by the supervising physician.
• Dictates patient records including discharge summaries, history and physical evaluations, operative procedure notes, consultations, and office visit notes. Documents patient information and care provided in patient record.
• 1st assistant in surgery – Performs first assist duties, including ensuring all needed equipment and supplies are present
• Conduct follow-up visit independently
• Develop medical care plans under physician supervision, including recommending treatment options and periodically assessing patient medical needs and responses to treatments.
