Job Description:

Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc., (AMA) has an exciting opportunity to add a motivated and experienced Multimedia Content Specialist with a diverse and solid background to join our team in Houston,TX supporting the COMIT Contract. The qualified candidate will act as the Executive Producer and Manager of a video production and podcast, supporting the Johnson Space Center(JSC) Multimedia Group. This position will be located at NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas.

Job Duties:

  • Executive Producer and Manager of the video production effort called "The Space Program". Assist line producers with their productions, write scripts, review scripts, quality control all video content, write publicly-facing titles and descriptions for videos, report all activity to the Supervisor using the production scheduling system, ensure all video content is organized, distributed, and archived, and communicate status to the NASA customer.
    Arrange and execute pre-flight interviews for NASA's Commercial Crew Program astronauts, to include booking interviews with crew schedulers, leading and deploying the studio production crew for interviews, arranging transcription of the interviews, internal distribution of raw camera files to line producers, scripting and script review of features, video review including all quality control, writing publicly-facing titles and descriptions, reporting of all activity to the Supervisor, and communicating status to the NASA customer.
  • Executive Producer and Manager of production of "Houston We Have a Podcast", to include: determine topics and possible guests, book all interviews, book production facilities for interviews, monitor recording sessions, review first draft edits of audio clips and direct any subsequent edits, distribute the edited clips for review by guests and NASA, transcribe first draft of episode, review thumbnail and other elements of episode web page, maintain a record of all episode postings, and serve as the backup podcast host/interviewer.
  • Arrange video and still-photo documentation of crew training for Soyuz, CCP crew members, and astronaut candidates. Monitor weekly training schedules for events that are valuable to document. Make individual judgment call on what needs to be documented.
  • Follow procedures outlined in CA-WI-34 Basic/Media Filming of FOD Training and Operations Activities to secure proper permissions for each field shoot.
  • Request and receive permission from Crew Training Officer, crew commander, or the individual astronaut. Also, request and receive permission from facility manager in the location of the training. Arrange and deploy production personnel to document the training activity. Report all activity to the Supervisor. Keep detailed log of what training is documented.
  • Produce video products. Write video scripts. Provide script review for other team members. Provide voice work as voiceover talent.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in live television, multimedia production or related field from an accredited University or Technical Institute.
  • Experienced Scriptwriter , Podcast Producer ,Video Producer and Video Editor.
    Expert in Windows networked environments and with Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiar with Dalet Media Asset Management System, or other similar MAMs.
    Experienced and knowledgeable with digital video formats.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere.
  • Must communicate in a friendly and professional manner with NASA personnel, follow government protocol standards, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work well with customers, management and fellow employees at all levels in a team environment.
  • Adherence to quality control, safety, operations, administrative and security procedures including reporting will be required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) security clearance.
