Job Description

Sisecam Wyoming is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and manage small and large projects, evaluate the design and application of new and existing equipment, as well as identify and implement solutions to improve safety, efficiency, productivity, reliability and cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and safely manage small and large capital projects.
  • Develop, maintain and manage the Mechanical Integrity Plan.
  • Work with the Maintenance to establish and maintain a process for continuous improvement through full utilization and application of reliability-based tools.
  • Work with the Maintenance to implement long-term strategies to ensure efficient and cost effective execution of maintenance activities, maintenance standards, reliability, equipment integrity and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Diagnose mechanical reliability problems and design and/or provide solutions that solve and eliminate failures.
  • Provide support to other functional areas.
  • Provide mechanical expertise to enhance training systems.
  • Conduct root cause failure analyses.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes while focusing on safety and best practices.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Three or more years of experience as a mechanical and/or reliability engineer in manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proactive commitment to safety.
  • Demonstrated excellent written & verbal communication, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results oriented and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.

Desired Skills

  • CMRP, CRP, or PdM Technology Certifications preferred.
