We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Designer to join our Baggage Handling team. This is a remote position is mainly responsible for assisting in the design of accurate discipline specific drawings from the engineer/senior designers' design.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Prepare drawings
  • Conduct Site Surveys
  • Work Across Disciplines
  • Code review and investigation
  • Equipment layout and sizing
  • Generate plans and coordinate with other trades
  • Assist in the review of shop drawing submittals from contractors
  • Assist in the inspection, review, and preparation of site inspection reports.
  • Interact with building owners, property management, architects, and members of design and construction team.
  • Assist in review of codes to ensure designs meet all applicable codes and safety standards.
  • Assist in providing construction cost opinions
  • Attend and support technical societies
  • Coordinate and manage models both internally and via file and cloud sharing
  • Understanding and having the ability to set-up projects from the beginning utilizing project shared coordinate systems and linked models
  • Revit family, project template, and title block development
  • Associates or Technical Degree in Building Systems Engineer, Architectural Engineering or related accredited Associates degree program field
  • 2-6 years' experience in BIM Modeling, facility design or construction
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, Bluebeam and Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
  • Experience with model coordination
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks and be highly motivated to learn and progress career
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize and manage responsibilities on multiple projects
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Basic understanding of construction detailing and techniques
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
