Job Description

Our client in State College, PA is seeking a Master Scheduler to coordinate capacity, schedules, and inventories to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing operations.

Primary duties include:

  • Serves as primary point of contact with other departments.
  • Collaborates to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources.
  • Compares current and anticipated orders with available resources and capacity.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff to meet delivery dates.
  • Leads planning meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Ensures scheduling team tasks are coordinated to common goals.
  • Ensures team has necessary resources and training.
  • Responsible for installing and verifying effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Conducts performance evaluations.
  • Assists in discipline and termination of employees.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data.
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as ERP/MRP.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient computer skills - particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following: Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business preferred but not required.
  • At least five years of related experience required.
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply chain Professional (CSCP) a plus.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
