Maintenance Electrician
Maintenance Electrician with the ability to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of the day to dayrunning of various equipment, machinery, lighting, power receptacles, and other electrical systems. Be able to install and terminate various low voltage communication systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follow the written and verbal instructions and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Troubleshoots and repairs all facility systems and equipment, i.e., processing, packaging, warehouse, material receiving, HVAC units, various computer hardware and software, and etc.
install new conduit and wiring for single phase and three phase circuits.
Build and install motor control panels and pushbuttons.
Install, program and troubleshoot various motor frequency and inverter drives.
Attend and actively participate in various plant safety meetings.
Work in a safety-oriented manner, abide by all safety rules, regulations and current Arc Flash Protection Policies
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Continue to learn new skills.
Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and include appropriate people in decision-making process.
Follow instructions, responds to management direction.
Work well as a team.
Work well unsupervised.
Work on other Maintenance issues and projects non electrical.
Use equipment and materials properly and safely. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
Is consistently at work on time, commit to long hours of work when necessary and be available for on call emergencies.
Education and/or Experience
4 years experience or 2years training or schooling with 2 years experience.
Skills
Active knowledge of the current edition of the NEC. Conduit bending, wire pulling and terminations. Understand, utilize, trouble-shoot and maintain different systems and equipment powered by AC and DC power, single phase and three phase power, wiring, motors, continuity, resistance, motor starters, power supplies, disconnects, fuses, breakers, overload heaters, variable frequency drives, DC drives, relay logic, etc. Ability to use a multimeter, amprobe, meg ohm meter and other test instruments.
Language Skills
Ability to readand interpret documents, blueprints and schematics.
