Job Description

The Law Office of Stephen E. Robertson is seeking a Legal Assistant Paralegal to begin employment by the start of the 06/01/2023. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and organized, has strong work ethic and time management, is a team player, and is capable of working in a fast-paced and expanding work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments and hearings
  • Corresponding with clients
  • Preparing standard pleadings
  • Organizing and maintaining client files
  • Filing and scanning
  • Client intake
  • Reviewing and drafting correspondence from/to other attorneys
  • Assisting clients with discovery requests
  • Keeping the attorney up to date and on task
  • Additional task as required by Managing Attorney and Business Manager

Skills Required:

  • Has 2 to 3 years of experience working in a law firm
  • Proficient in Office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, etc. Clio management system knowledge (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible with time during week days, evenings, and some weekends
  • Be very detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through on task and project completion
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, prioritize and follow through on main and continuing tasks
  • Must be a team player

Education/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • North Carolina Notary Public
  • Experience in Family Law
  • Experience in Bankruptcy Law

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $25,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
