MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group has an opening for an internal medicine physician to join our team!
Job Duties:
Identify and minimize the risks of chronic disease or other conditions deleterious to our patients' health and well-being. Handle the broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect adults. Perform diagnoses and provide treatment as to chronic diseases and illnesses, short of care that would be provided by specialists or subspecialists. Make recommendations, give directions, and otherwise provide guidance in the promotion of health and in the prevention of diseases. Assess and discuss possible screenings, including cancer screenings of various forms, as well as in the overall maintenance of personal health, including physical examinations and checkups. Evaluate and address any reported issues or concerns patients present, as well as identifying others they may not, during the course of examinations of and discussions with patients. Keep and maintain appropriate records relating to all professional services rendered. Recommend or order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures. Maintain progress notes using established guidelines, following all established HIMS policies for maintenance and signing of medical records. Submit complete patient bills within established time frame. Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as all applicable accreditation standards.
Position requires full-time work, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Requires MD degree or equivalent, plus completion of three years of ABIM-recognized internal medicine residency program and valid Maryland medical license. Experience contributing scientifically and collaboratively as part of a grant-funded research team.
