Job Description
What you need to know about this position:
- The HR Talent Specialists are primarily responsible for facilitating the recruitment process for all candidates interested in employment at CRH, and secondarily responsible for facilitating New Employee Orientation.
- This position is extremely fast-paced and requires each Specialist to manage 100+ candidates at any given time for 60+ open requisitions, across dozens of different departments/leaders within the healthcare system.
- Reviewing resumes, conducting phone/virtual interviews, and creating and extending job offers are the primary duties that occur all day/every day. Preparing for and facilitating New Employee Orientation is usually conducted only 1-2 times every 2 weeks.
- The HR Talent Specialist will partner with department leaders, as well as other areas of Human Resources, to implement effective and creative recruitment plans that will meet current and future workforce needs.
- The HR Talent Specialist role is part of the Talent Team within the Human Resources department and reports to the Manager - System Talent Acquisition.
- The HR Specialist position has a base hourly range between $22.25 and $35.56, which annualizes to $46,280 and $73,964 (the position is exempt/salaried based on 40 hours/week), and candidates with work history experience directly related to the duties of this position can expect to have a higher salary that is commensurate with experience. The base compensation is one part of a highly competitive total rewards package that also includes a variety of benefits.
- This position is eligible for partial remote (work from home) status, allowing you to work virtually for > 50% of your work week. You will be required to work onsite (in Columbus, Indiana) several days/week (not necessarily full days each time), for approximately 8-12 hours/week total. As these times are not always steady/predictable, you need to live within a 1-hour radius of Columbus, Indiana to be able to respond to onsite requests quickly. Some weeks may require additional onsite resources, requiring more time at the HR office location, in order to complete duties that cannot be accomplished virtually. This position has flexibility to set your daily scheduled work time (within reason) but is expected to be available/working daily Monday-Friday, during day shift/office hours.
Requirements for Consideration:
- A high school degree with three to five years of Human Resource or office administration experience preferred – or an equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent candidates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, web-based databases, and/or HR Information Systems.
- Organization/Time Management Skills: prioritization, attention to detail, responsiveness, delegation and goal setting to successfully accomplish multiple duties with competing deadlines.
- Customer Service Skills: exercising patience, empathy and active listening when communicating with candidates and employees.
- Teamwork Skills: collaboration with various individuals to accomplish a common goal.
- Adaptation Skills: ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and various customer needs.
Preferences for Consideration:
- Previous experience working in the healthcare industry for familiarity of positions, etc.
