About us

The Orange Visiting Nurses Association, founded in 1937, is an "official" agency of Town of Orange. The agency provides comprehensive home health care services as well as health promotion, health education and school health programs to the residents of Orange and the surrounding towns.

We are looking for a Home Health Aide to provide compassionate and quality care to our clients in their homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care, such as bathing and dressing, as well as light housekeeping and meal preparation. The Home Health Aide must be able to follow instructions from the client's physician and provide emotional support to the client and their family. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping others and is committed to providing the highest quality of care.

This position is part-time, working Monday-Friday, up to 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nurse or physician.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and errands.
• Assist clients with medication management.
• Document care provided in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid CNA or HHA certification
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Prior experience in home health care is preferred
• Strong patient service skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
