Job Description

The e-Commerce Planner supports the strategy and delivery of the category online user experience across the site. This includes the ability to create, optimize, enhance, and support the online customer experience while supporting company, e-commerce, and category objectives. The e-Commerce Planner oversees and executes the digital online experience and presentation of messages using customer insights and analytics to optimize our user experiences.
  • Responsible for executing the online customer experience for Financial Services and Best Buy Gift Cards across all e-Commerce channels.
  • Will utilize data within Adobe Analytics, Content Square, NPS, Opinion Lab, etc, to recommend and execute online customer experiences and messages for the supporting category in conjunction to supporting overall e-Commerce objectives.
  • Provide input and execute plans supporting site shop-ability and user experience from the customer’s point of view by managing how the category/business is presented online (usability, user journey flows, slotting messages, merchandising, etc.) and category findability through site optimizations.
  • Executes digital messaging and experiences using a customer and financial view to prioritize experiences based on core e-Commerce capabilities (search, user journey flows, personalization, etc.) ensuring the plan aligns to business priorities.
  • Executes and optimizes Conversion, Revenue, Profit, and positive NPS outcomes across all views of BestBuy.com.
  • Ability to articulate e-Commerce Business Metrics to budget & yearly overviews (category conversion, revenue & profit, traffic trends, page metrics and user behaviors) and drives timely recommendations to correct negative trends.
  • Understands business team’s financial goals/focus as they change based on business need (revenue, profit or marketing awareness)
  • Partners with a multitude of cross-functional teams to understand and deliver the online components of the category/business strategy. Makes recommendations on usability, functionality, product assortments, and promotions within category.
  • Optimizes promotional, campaign, and program benefit messaging for the category
  • Timely execution of promotional levers and product enhancements to deliver against strategic category goals.
  • As an e-Commerce expert, shares channel specific insights, learnings, and future site enhancements with cross functional partners to plan for and deliver mutual financial goals.
  • Actively evaluates and researches new online functionality as it relates to improving our online customer experience.
Basic Requirements:
  • 2+ years of e-Commerce, retail, e-Commerce product experience, and/or industry experience in marketing, merchandising, inventory planning, or online marketing/web analytics
  • 1 or more years of experience in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 or more months of experience collaborating in highly matrixed organizations
  • General knowledge of strategy practices supporting horizontal principles
  • Adobe Analytics experience
