Role Summary/Purpose


By becoming a member of GE Vernova’s Communications team, you will help build the story and engagement around a significant and public company transformation. You’ll work closely with teams from across the world to demonstrate GE Vernova’s progress, performance, and path to growth in a dynamic environment.


The Conventional Power Segment/Gas Power Communications Lead is a senior communications leader responsible for the development and deployment of a GE Vernova Conventional Power Segment/Gas Power Communications strategy leveraging the entire communications mix, including strategy and planning, messaging, thought leadership, employee and change communications, media/PR, and executive communications, among other tasks. This role will work closely with business leaders across Conventional Power Segment/Gas Power to help build a world-class positioning and narrative that can be driven internally and externally.


Essential Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Conventional Power Segment/Gas Power leadership, define the key communications priorities and leverages these to create a multi-stakeholder (external and internal), multi-channel communications strategy and related tactics.

  • Coordinates with business leaders to identify internal priorities, provide executive support and strategic counsel, and support business goals.

  • Develops and executes strategic communication plans based on objectives and business priorities.

  • Create informative, relevant and inspiring internal/employee/executive content and assets.

  • Develop and enhance communications tools and channels to promote engagement with employees across the business.

  • Constantly and proactively interacts with internal and external stakeholders to refine and improve communication plans.

  • Partners with the GE Vernova external communications team to actively promote and protect the company in the media (trade, consumer & social), financial community, general public and other centers of influence.

  • Leveraging external channels – earned and owned – strives to win share of voice and share of discussion across key themes and priority commercial areas.

  • Builds and executes thought leadership strategies for key leaders within the business leadership team (e.g. LinkedIn articles, bylines, speaking engagements, etc.)

  • Working with the Marketing, Commercial and Regional Communications teams, partners with customers and prospects to jointly tell outcomes-driven stories.

  • Leads communications on critical organizational projects such as acquisitions, integrations or divestments; organizational realignments or restructuring; and other significant developments.

  • Provides executives with communications guidance on complex, sensitive and business critical issues, including crisis management topics and scenarios.

  • Leads internal team of communications business partners.


Qualifications/Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge or experience.

  • Significant experience in business communications function, preferably in a global, public company.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work; Rigorous attention to detail.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Experience leading a global communications team and with people leadership activities, including recruiting, development, performance management, compensation.

  • Experience in and understanding of the energy / power generation sector and products.

  • Experience developing and implementing an organization's social media strategy.


If contracted in the US:
The salary range for this position is 170.000,00 to 350.000,00 USD . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 35% target bonus.
