Candidates will take groups of guests of all ages on tours of Mercer Caverns. Candidates must learn the script of the tour and be able to interact with guests during the tour. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with groups of people. Candidates will also work in the visitor center selling admission tickets and retail merchandise. Candidates will learn to use a cash register and credit card machine. There is some light cleaning and grounds clean up. Knowledge of the local area and activities will be a plus, but is not required, as guests sometimes ask for suggestions about things to do in the area.
No experience required. We will provide all training. Candidates should be in fairly good physical shape as the tour is considered moderately strenuous. Candidates must be able to get along with fellow team members.
