Dean’s Lawn and Landscaping, www.deanslandscaping.com, was incorporated in 1996 and has earned a solid reputation for being an award-winning landscaping, hardscaping, and outdoor living service provider throughout Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Our employees are all certified landscape designers and installers and certified chemical applicators who have decades of combined experience in managing all types of landscaping projects and landscape maintenance services. In addition, a garden center was added in 2004 specializing in trees, shrubs, and flowers as well as bulk landscape materials, and in 2019, services for pool installations. In nearly 30 years, we have become an expert landscape specialist company with an extensive group of highly satisfied clientele including homeowners, small businesses, and complex commercial businesses that require the most professional landscape design services.


We are actively searching for an experienced Business Systems Manager with a proven track record in accounting and administrative practices, preferably within a service-based organization. The individual will work collaboratively with office managers and other departments to ensure the integrity of our information and systems. They will use their skills in customer service, technology, and operations management.


Some of the Business Systems Manager’s key responsibilities are:

  • Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and clients
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records
  • Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure the office is operating smoothly
  • Build upon and strengthen the in-office communication and workflow
  • Prepare complete, clear, and concise reports, proposals, and required company paperwork within the CRM system
  • Able to plan and efficiently manage the daily requirements of the role and to assure maximum productivity and minimal downtime by using the CRM system and other provided tools
  • Manage, coach, and mentor office staff

Requirements

  • Experience in an office administrative/office management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
  • Proactive, assertive, and outgoing individual
  • Ensure compliance with all company financial policies, as well as state/federal laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong financial management acumen desired; experience with financial accounting
