Biologist

• 
  Candidate will be expected to work in clean laboratory and growth chamber environments with plants, soil, and plant pathogens.
• Candidate must be comfortable working in growth chambers and follow all procedures and SOPs.
• Duties include but are not limited to preparing testing supplies, including inoculum cultures, planting, general plant care, plant inoculations, disease ratings and regular cleaning of labs and chambers.
• Demonstration of self-motivation, flexibility, and reliability is required.
• Candidate will regularly work in environments that are dusty, warm, or required to remain clean.

Requirements:

• Previous course work and/or experience in plant care and/or plant pathology desired but not necessary.
• Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and work ethic, be detail-oriented, work in a fast-paced environment, and work both independently and on a team.
• Familiarity with sterile technique, culturing fungi and bacteria in vitro is desired but not necessary.
• Minimum education level: Bachelors degree in Biology or related field.

Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
