This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm PST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Manage an assignment of accounts which includes monitoring and collecting monthly premiums, member-to-member reconciliations, and aging analysis

  • Contact customers to resolve payment delinquency

  • Sort incoming mail, log returned mail, scan live checks for bank deposits, prepare and mail customer letters

  • Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through available methods

  • Post incoming payments to member accounts and reconcile cash to balance for the day

  • Consistently meet established productivity, metric, and quality standards

  • Answer all incoming calls and assist with Enrollment and billing
  • Work on projects as assigned by leadership

Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 6+ months of previous experience in billing or collections

  • Experience with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel using formulas and creating spreadsheets

  • Experience with Microsoft Word for merging letters and formatting

  • Ability to work during business hours of 8am-5pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel using vlookups & pivot tables

  • Enrollment experience

  • Eligibility experience


Telecommuting Requirements:


  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
