Job Description:

Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group, a partner with JPS Health Network, is seeking a motivated and ambitious provider to join the Immunology and Inflammation Division of the Internal Medicine Department as a Full Time Rheumatology Advanced Practice Provider (APP).

As the county hospital system, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. Position Description

  • Practices under the supervision of the supervising physician and is responsible for reviewing records, preparing comprehensive histories, assessing primary health care needs, performing physical examinations, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating care with team
  • Orders and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, and performs other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status
  • Takes rheumatology call for inpatient consults in a tertiary care center

Rheumatology Team:

  • 2 Rheumatologists

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes
  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills
  • Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach programs
  • Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
  • A commitment to medical education, including teaching and training medical and graduate students, house staff, and fellows

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

  • Degree in Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) studies from an approved program
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Rheumatology

Required Licensures/Certification

  • Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license (FNP or AGPCNP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Unrestricted DEA
