SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
ANSER is seeking a mid-level Administrative Assistant to provide on-site administrative support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Nuclear Enterprise (NE) located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The Administrative Assistant must have demonstrated experience in Office Administration and using applicable MS software (to include SharePoint). The Office Administrator will draft and edit documents and must be able to communicate effectively in written form (use proper grammar, punctuation, etc.) The Administrative Assistant must be capable to function independently (or as a back-up to other administrators) in overseeing the office operations and needs, as well as possess the skills and knowledge how to research issues/topics. The ideal analyst has experience with the workflow associated with military and civilian evaluation systems, training systems, awards systems, and official correspondence and records management. The analyst must have experience working with senior leaders daily.


Performance Requirements include:

  • Assisting with the daily operation and management of the office
  • Preparing briefing materials, papers, program plans, and other administrative materials
  • Assisting with the technical writing of contract documentation for Directorate Departments
  • Providing technical review of documents
  • Assisting with tracking military and civilian personnel evaluations, recognition, awards, and other requirements
  • Assisting with planning, organizing, executing, documenting and pre/post-support of workshops, training, conferences, and meetings
  • Overseeing calendars, taskers, deadlines, and office distribution
  • Maintaining SharePoint lists, libraries, wiki pages, web parts, sites, and sub-sites
  • Assisting with tracking, monitoring, and responding to taskings and suspenses
  • Assisting with initiating and managing Government/contractor travel requests and authorizations

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience
  • Prior experience working with, and supporting, senior-level management
  • Proficient oral and written communications
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Service Staff, Combatant Command, Defense Agency, or Interagency environment
  • Prior experience as a MS SharePoint administrator
  • STEM, English, Information Management, or Business Administration degree is desired
