EquipmentShare is searching for an Accounting Manager to add to the Accounting & Financial Reporting team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, employee-minded company. EquipmentShare offers a flexible work arrangement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Play an integral role in the accounting for certain complex business transactions of a rapidly growing, nation-wide business.
  • Communicate across various departments within the Company to create and maintain efficient workflows and processes.
  • Evaluate process flows of information for key business processes, identifying the systems, risks, key reports used, and relevant internal controls from initiation to recording of transactions.
  • Use formulas, pivot tables and macros to manage and report data accordingly.
  • Diagnose opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of various accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline processes, implement new workflows when needed, test new systems and train new team members.
  • Play a key role in the Company's year-end financial statement audit. You'll work with various functions within the Company as well as our external auditors throughout the audit process.
  • Research technical accounting matters in a variety of complex accounting topics, developing practical and relevant applications of the accounting guidance to the Company's current and proposed business transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
  • Work with the team (including Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer) on strategic initiatives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA required.
  • At least 4 of progressive accounting experience required. Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Analytical, desire to work in the details to understand the numbers, ensure accuracy, and be capable of identifying and interpreting key trends.
  • Process focused and detail-oriented individual who strives for accuracy and is organized.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, trust, and confidentiality required. Must be dependable.
